Andrew, Who. Are. You?

So a while ago I realised something extremely strange between my iTunes music. Now, it's nothing mind-blowing but I have been wondering about it for the past year (probably) what this means and why it is so.

My problem is that in-between a lot of my bands some of the songs will have a different Album name than most. This is probably not strange, but what is, is that all the so-called 'different' album names are all named after a boy called Andrew. I mentioned this to Philip, but he was busy not paying attention to me. Only enough to just yell 'WHAT?!' all the time. So I gave up and mentioned it to someone else. They also had no idea.

Adamant on showing Phil that I'm not on hard drugs or delusional, I took a screen shot to prove myself:



After doing this I saw that most of the music was from my friend Kristen. So I wall-posted her on Facebook with a link to the image.



Luckily, she responded quite fast and explained it all to me. "The songs from those albums are from compilation albums that 'insert hidden name' made for his friends. And he always made the title about this person (real or not, I don't know) called Andrew. I literally have hundreds and hundreds of songs from these Andrew albums."

So there you have it kids.

Mystery:
kinda solved.
Also, I'm not crazy.

Safe As Houses

Okay. Have you ever heard what it sounds like when a person takes nails to a chalk board? Worst sound ever right? Now imagine the complete opposite and you'll have aKING. This band fronted by, what the voice of sweet baby angels would sound like if they existed, Laudo Liebenberg. This band is something more than just your ordinary band.



Living in south africa makes the music scene a lot more Primitive than you'd wish it to be, but now, don't get me wrong we have great talent and quite a bit of potential. But nothing quite like these guys.

There's something about seeing four guys pour their heart and souls into something so successfull that just makes you start smiling, and pretty dorky at that I might add. They're one of the few bands that almost 80% of different scene kids will all agree to enjoy and listen to. Something about their music. Their lyrics, damn, just their overall talent. That draws you in and makes you feel like at this moment nothing is wrong and all your worries have blown away.



I recently got the joy of being a photographer for a Jose Cuervo event and aKing was the launch band for their Black brand of tequila.

Oh man, oh man! This is party time.
I swear it's not a hobby, I just happened to come across this quite a few times and tonight, I have decided to blog about it!

So firstly this is all about how people just look way too alike for comfort. Yesterday while at work a girl I went to school with's mom came into our store. she kept looking all awkwardly, took my hand and was all, "-name- right??" So I'm like, er no. Though that's not the first time that's happened. But really now?

Anyway, I was watching the All American Rejects music video, Gives You Hell, and I remembered how many times I've seen how, veryveryvery, alike Tyson Ritter and Cillian Murphy look! Also what's even more funnier is how when you go out searching for images of these two; within the Google results for both of them you find an image where someone has compared them with Tom Welling.

But they're not the only two that could've been twins in this world. How about Michael Angarano and Shia LaBeouf?



Creepy? I think so.

So from now on almost every week, if not more, when I feel like it, maybe even a little less, I will change the two side bar images on my blog.

Not only will this make me intensely happy with some lovely changes, but it'll be showcasing some really cool designs from the Behance Network. These are always really cool designs from modern artists, designers, photographers, typographers, etc.
